      Your role

      As an Eco Design Engineer with chemical compliance focus, you have a crucial role in driving our company’s sustainability initiatives. You are at the forefront of product development, ensuring that our designs are efficient, effective and have minimal environmental impact. Your expertise in chemical regulations and compliance help us create products that are safe for both users and the planet.

      Main missions:

      • Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate eco-friendly design principles into the product development process
      • Provide guidance and support to projects and assist in eco design and carbon calculations
      • Conduct eco design reviews to identify opportunities for reducing environmental impact through the product’s life cycle
      • Research and select sustainable materials, components and manufacturing processes to achieve eco design objectives
      • Ensure compliance with regulations, such as WEEE, REACH, RoHS, California Prop 65
      • Work closely with suppliers to achieve environmental goals
      • Stay updated on emerging eco design and chemical compliance trends and regulations
      • Participate or lead environmental and chemical compliance initiatives in the organization


      To succeed, you will need

      • Academic education in Environmental engineering, Chemical engineering or a related field
      • Experience in eco design and sustainability practices, preferably in product development
      • Hands on knowledge in chemical regulations (RoHS, REACH, PFAS, and others)
      • Familiarity with life cycle assessment methodologies and tools
      • Creative problem-solving abilities to identify innovative eco design solutions
      • Presentation skills
      • Fluent English (Swedish is optional)
