You will join our Onshore Renewables & Infrastructure biodiversity team, who all share a passion for protecting our wildlife, plant species and habitats. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, supporting our efforts in preserving and protecting the natural world. This position is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in ecological research and conservation.
In the winter the role will be mainly desk based, in the summer you will be busy out on site – no matter what the weather! You’ll assist with terrestrial ecology surveys, desk-based studies and data submissions. You’ll help to prepare technical reports, turn your hand to Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Assessments, and input into Ecological Impact Assessment Chapters.

About you
You will be studying or have obtained a biodiversity related degree qualification. You will be super organised and have great attention to detail as well as the ability to work well under pressure. You will have a full driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK and share our passion for the great outdoors!
We expect that at this career level when you’re not on site that you’ll be in the office for the majority of the week, soaking up the knowledge available around you, so you must live within daily commutable distance of either our York or Manchester offices.
