      Job Description

      As part of the unit based team, this position is responsible for providing direct and indirect care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. In addition to providing clinical care for patients, this position also rotates to oversee the patients and families in ED waiting area; providing assistance to patients’ upon arrival, assisting the triage RN in identifying medical necessity, supporting and providing information to patients, families and staff.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      High School diploma or equivalent.
      Ability to communicate clearly with patients, guests, and co-workers in English both verbally and in writing. Ability to speak in Spanish a plus
      Exceptional people skills and an ability to function in a calm manner in stressful situations
      Has the ability to adapt, prioritize, and function in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.

      Certification/License

      National Registered Paramedic - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians OR proof of current completion of 2 semesters in an accredited Registered Nursing Program

      Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association

      Salary Range:

      $33.38 - $41.39 USD Hourly
