- Have a full technical and operational understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Execute various editing tasks to a high standard, with care and attention to both audio and visual.
- Use video and audio plug-ins, multi-camera editing/syncing to produce creative and varied edits.
- Work under time pressure, being able to communicate clearly when editing to critical deadlines.
- Anticipate and intervene when edit related problems arise.
- Understand the technical delivery requirements across the range of sport output.
- Be an invaluable colleague, having the ability to work independently as well as part of team.

What we do!
From the World Cup to the Olympic Games via the FA Cup and Wimbledon, Picture Shop works with the BBC in covering some of the world's biggest sporting and live events. As a member of the editing team at Picture Shop, you will be a vital part of making this happen.
You will be an integral part of our Salford operation in Media City, working closely with BBC Production staff to edit first-class creative and editorial content for the BBC across TV and various digital platforms.

What we need you to do!
You must be able to interpret a client’s vision, tailoring and enhancing their ideas in the confines of a realistic timeframe. You will be responsible for delivering high-end content, ensuring that all technical broadcast specifications are met. Your role will require you to edit a range of shortform and fast-turnaround content, from templated sequences and match highlights, to feature edits.
What Experience we’re looking for!
You must have proven experience of editing for Broadcast TV.

This role is based at the BBC’s site in Media City UK, Salford. Due to the nature of BBC Sport output, there is an expectation to work frequent weekends and sometimes unsocial hours. The successful candidate will also express a willingness to train and continually develop their skill set to maintain the high standards expected of a Picture Shop North editor.
