      Experience:6 to 8 Years in a publishing house

      Key tasks

      • In-depth understanding of the latest education reforms ( NEP 2020 and NCF 2022) and their relevance to publishing for the Foundational years
      • Develop content strategies that align with the latest education reforms, take ownership and responsibility of the entire foundational years’ curriculum across subjects with special focus on FLN
      • Proficient in reviewing /editing/developing content for Foundational years especially ECCE
      • Manage a content team: authors, SMEs, freelancers, typesetters and illustrators throughout the editorial process
      • Conduct audience ( teachers, school heads and parents) research to understand how best to reach the target customers
      • A keen eye to detail: development, proofreading, editing and ensuring the content is consistent with the company style guide
      • Ably support the publishing head on various projects
      • Ensure adherence to quality of content
      • Manage schedules to facilitate timely delivery of projects without compromising on quality
      • Conduct product sessions/workshops, orient customers on products on the latest pedagogy for the foundational years.

      Key relationships

      • A positive and holistic approach towards understanding and supporting the work-related activities related to editorial process
      • To collaborate and work closely with the sales, marketing and production teams to ensure synergy and seamless handover of projects

      Key Competencies

      Qualification and Prerequisites

      • Postgraduate degree/ MPhil/PHD in Child psychology/ ECCE with Masters in English/science/Education
      • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
      • Experience in publishing/educational organisation/schools and teaching experience will be an added advantage
      • Willingness to travel
      • The position will be based in Noida, corporate office.

      Interpersonal Skills:

      • A minimum of three years’ experience as Deputy Managing Editor or in a similar role.
      • Project management and willingness to work in a team.
      • Strong editing skills as well as written and verbal communication
      • Analytical mindset and decision-making abilities
      • Adaptability and willingness to learn
