What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide administrative and clerical support to supervisors and the imprint
- Assist with daily editorial activities, including manuscript screening and project follow-up
- Read and evaluate manuscripts, suggesting revisions and writing reader reports
- Write jacket and catalog copy, and manage books through all stages of production
- Attend and contribute ideas at editorial meetings, keeping up to date with industry trends

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Passionate about children's publishing and eager to learn
- Some office or internship experience (publishing experience not required)
- Strong writing and critical thinking skills
- Self-starter with strong multitasking and organizational abilities
- Creative and proactive team player

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in an office or internship setting related to publishing
- Familiarity with editorial processes and manuscript evaluation
