What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide general administrative support for the Who HQ series
- Correspond with authors, agents, and other professional contacts
- Write cover copy, catalog copy, and title information sheets
- Prepare detailed and accurate art notes and manuscripts for production
- Track manuscripts through all stages of editing, design, and production
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Interest in nonfiction books for ages 8-11
- Strong multitasking skills with impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to problem-solve and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in children’s publishing, copywriting, and/or editing is a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Google research tools
- Previous experience in a publishing environment
- Strong writing skills, particularly in crafting engaging copy
- Background in educational content or children's literature
