Job Description
- Req#: 529798
- Responsible for editing new and revised instructional publications and related content for logical flow, accuracy, and adherence to style conventions.
- Coordinate with product developer/authors, illustrators, graphic designers, and product managers to edit and troubleshoot manuscripts and see them through to publication.
- Follow and help maintain the guidelines, conventions, and templates for the development and composition of instructional manuals.
- Assist the Publications Manager in maintaining the efficiency of the publications process.
- Contribute to development of new products and product lines through conceptual brainstorming and the development of publications templates.
OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE
Edits and proofreads instructional publications for products across several scientific disciplines.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English or Communications preferred.
Experience: Editorial experience is required; Science Education or Science background preffered.
Specialized Training/Skills: Must possess good written and oral communication skills and a keen eye for detail. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word.
