Job Description

- Maintain databank of panelists
- Train panelists
- Maintain resources for educators/applicants for webpage
- Ensure Licensing Drive/Peer Review materials & schedules are up to date
- Manage phone calls and emails daily
- Review and acceptance of Peer Review program candidates; coordinate clinic schedule, certificate dissemination, acceptance materials
- Match panelists to candidates and coordinate the scheduling of panel interviews; manage schedule of panels and panelists
- Facilitate Peer Review portfolio interviews
- Write and facilitate post Peer Review interview process including: letters of recommendation, Interview Evaluation Summary, request for additional information or Plan of Action, as needed
- Review completed Plan of Action materials; facilitate any follow up that is needed with candidate and panelists
- Plan, organize, set agendas and facilitate Peer Review Advisory Council (PRAC) meetings; after each PRAC meeting send follow-up email to PRAC members and supervisor outlining previous meeting and subsequent action steps
- Update and maintain Peer Review Coordinator, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manual
- Title II reporting
- Maintaining ROPA compliance

Overview
The Peer Review Program Coordinator position sits on the Pre-service Educator Quality Team in the Education Quality Division at the Vermont Agency of Education. The Education Quality Team is the division that oversees the approval of educator preparation programs, educator standards, educator licensure, and continuous improvement in schools.
Peer Review is an alternate route to licensure for those who have not completed a traditional educator preparation program at a college or university. Every Peer Review candidate completes a portfolio, which is reviewed by experienced teachers culminating in an interview. The Peer Coordinator facilitates this process.

Normal office working conditions generally prevail. Incumbent must be able to interact, work, and deal with department staff, educators, state, federal, and local officials, and the general public. Evening and weekend work may be required. Considerable travel is necessary for which an incumbent must possess private means of transportation.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field AND three (3) years or more of professional level work experience in a field related to teaching or provision of educational support services.
OR
Two (2) years or more of experience as an Education Consultant I with the State of Vermont.Special Requirements
Some positions may have certification requirements or other special requirements.
