      We are recruiting for a Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people. This exciting role spans both educational settings and healthcare sectors across South Tees.

      You will be based with the well-established and successful trailblazer Mental Health Support Team (MHST), known locally asInside Out. The team is located in Middlesbrough and provides mental health support across a range of educational settings in the Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland local authority areas.

      The role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check with barring.

      Main duties of the job

      We are looking for qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners with experience working in Mental Health Support Teams, either as trainees or qualified practitioners. You should be confident working as part of a team, and skilled at building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, particularly within educational settings.

      You will deliver mental health interventions on a one to one and group basis as well as delivering whole school approaches helping schools embed strategies to promote and support mental health and well being.

      • Delivery of group interventions for children and young people.

      • Self-motivated
      • Able to travel to meet the requirements of the post
      • Team player
      • Excellent time management and organisational skills
      • Able to meet the physical requirements of the role after reasonable adjustments have been made for any illness or disability.
      • Full, enhanced and current satisfactory DBS disclosure for the role
      • Ability to personally manage a sensitive, traumatic and potentially emotionally distressing caseload
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills

      • Experience of working with anxiety disorders
