      This position is remote work and telework eligible consistent with the Agency’s telework and remote work program policy.

      This position is located in the Office of Planning, Evaluation and Policy Development, Office of Education Technology (OET) in Washington, DC. OET is responsible for developing educational technology policies and establishes strategies for encouraging the development and use of educational technology that transforms teaching and learning and empowers students and families.

      Qualifications


      Minimum Qualification Requirements

      You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-13, if you possess the specialized experience described below.

      Specialized Experience for the GS-13
      One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-12 performing two (2) out of three (3) following duties or work assignments:

      1. Experience at the state or district level procuring or implementing educational technology products, services, or strategies to improve the learning experience.
      2. Experience designing, organizing, and conducting all phases of assigned projects, determining the scope of the assignment and the application of new methods.
      3. Experience developing guidance for educational stakeholders at the federal, state, and/or local levels.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
      The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). You do not need to provide separate narrative responses to these KSAs, as they will be measured by your responses to the occupational questionnaire (you may preview the occupational questionnaire by clicking the link at the end of the Evaluations section of this vacancy announcement).

      1. Skills extending and applying new developments and approaches to broad program problems.
      2. Knowledge of the research grant/procurement process including application procedures, panels, monitoring, and evaluation.
      3. Skills interacting and/or influencing office units, other programs/Offices and staff elements of the Department.
      4. Ability to present meaningful and pertinent facts and results.
      5. Ability to interact and/or influence office units, other programs/offices and staff elements to obtain optimal organization resources and results.
