What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct oversight of academic institutions, reviewing advertisements, student complaints, and financial soundness
- Complete risk-based survey visits and provide findings reports to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
- Analyze data and evaluate training programs to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
- Assist in planning and implementing outreach activities to promote veterans' education and training programs
- Conduct training for academic institution personnel to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree with five years of related education or training experience, OR Master's Degree with three years, OR Doctoral Degree with one year of experience
- Knowledge of statutory laws and regulations governing the State Approving Agency (SAA)
- Proficiency in personal computer programs including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and VA database systems
- Ability to analyze SAA approval application requirements and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders
- Valid state-issued driver's license and the ability to obtain U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs security clearance

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience as a school certifying official in a higher education environment working with veteran education benefits
- Prior experience in a regulatory capacity or within the legal field
