      As an Education, Skills, and Social Impact Manager you will primarily be a brand ambassador both internally and externally for Santander Communications and Responsible Banking by demonstrating our belief through action.

      You will be a key driver of helping one million customers, communities, and colleagues achieve their goals, and improve their circumstances, making their better happen. You will passionately tell our Education, Skills, and social impact story to both improve brand sentiment and engagement and improve awareness, consideration and conversion in our digital programme offers.       As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference by actively engaging with external stakeholders within your defined geographical region (NW/NE) in person three days a week, ensuring effective communication and fostering strong relationships to achieve our 2024 goals.

      The difference you’ll make:

      • Working three days a week in person with stakeholders across your defined geographical region (NW/NE) to deliver Santander’s Education, Skills, and Social Impact (ESSI) programmes to achieve our 2024 goals more efficiently
      • Identifying and implementing scalable, low or no cost communication solutions that effectively engage and resonate with the Bank’s customers, communities, and internal stakeholders
      • Working cross functionally to create connections between the bank and external stakeholders that create added value for all
      • Working pro-actively within our strategic framework to understand broad, societal systems and connect people with opportunities that create meaningful and long-term value
      • Responding to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value and undertakes full situational analysis and landscape review to allow this
      • Delivering and executing Santander’s new strategic blueprint with internal stakeholders to help the bank to be the easiest way for our customers to make their better happen

      What you’ll bring:

      • Ability to negotiate successfully across the organisation and with external clients in a constructive and collaborative manner
      • Commercial acumen, seek out and leverage opportunities to develop both financial and non-financial client relationships

      It would also be nice for you to have:

      • Previous business development or relationship director experience is a key requirement for this role, as you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise to drive growth and cultivate strategic partnerships
      • Marketing and communications knowhow to build local marketing campaigns that are designed to build brand awareness, consideration of our offer(s) and conversion (as financial or non-financial clients)
      • Digitally competent with a curious and open mind to trying new technologies and social media channels that enable agile ways of working and increasing brand awareness.
      • Understanding of political, environmental, social, and technological trends and operates within current context which impacts our business

      This role is homebased but will involve regular travel where you will be expected to meet clients/customers within your defined geographical region (NW/NE) in person at least 3 days a week.

      As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs.

      • Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus
      • We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
      • 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
