What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate the recruitment, placement, and onboarding of students in NASA internships across multiple sessions each year
- Serve as the liaison between NASA and various minority-serving institutions
- Promote engagement opportunities to increase NASA participation among indigenous students
- Attend and engage with students at local, regional, and national STEM events and conferences
- Collect and report on engagement metrics and data for funding and events
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, STEM, Project Management)
- At least 4 years of experience in education, project management, or program coordination
- Teaching certificate and/or license
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with collaboration software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with Minority Serving Institutions in STEM education
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience with database management systems, particularly NASA STEM Gateway
- Familiarity with NASA's mission and STEM engagement goals
- Previous experience coordinating large-scale education events or conferences
