      GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

      The Audiologist's primary responsibilities are to identify, assess,

      and provide hearing services to eligible children, including determination of range, nature,

      and degree of hearing loss as well as referral for medical or other professional attention for

      the habilitation of hearing. The Audiologist should provide habilitative activities, such as

      language habilitation, auditory training, speech-reading, hearing evaluation and speech

      conservation. The Audiologist should administer programs to both prevent further hearing

      loss, as well as counsel children, parents and teachers regarding hearing loss.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Master's degree

      • Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology License

      • Willingness/ability to work as a team member

      • Demonstrated leadership ability

      • Demonstrated organizational abilities

      • Computer expertise

      • Valid driver's license and access to personal vehicle

      • History of good job attendance

      • Must pass criminal background check

      TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

      Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non - prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.

      Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
