- Schedules and conducts outreach and recruitment events with the Kaua‘i high schools and their families to educate and build trust.
- Conducts outreach to underserved students and families while promoting their participation in Early College/dual enrollment courses and programs.
- Schedules, develops, coordinates, and conducts outreach events with each of the Kaua‘i middle schools for strategic career exploration and program promotion efforts.
- Inventories current program offerings by mapping, aligning, and embedding dual enrollment course offerings to CTE certificates and degrees (and 4-year programs where relevant) for effective Kaua‘i CC guided pathways planning, implementation, and enhancement.
- Collaborates with college and high school personnel to align Early College course offerings to CTE programs.
- Collaborates with college programs and personnel to increase and strengthen the diversity of high-opportunity CTE career pathways Kaua‘i CC can deliver at three high school sites.
- Coordinates and tracks student success, retention, and completion of degrees and certificates earned.
- Advises Early College CTE students and coordinates with Kaua‘i CC instructional faculty members to strengthen career advisement and aid student development of completed educational plans.
- Coordinates meetings between key high school and college stakeholders in support of CTE pathways development and students.
- Supports Early College students through coordinated efforts and development of strategies designed to build their confidence as learners.
- Develops and coordinates workshop sessions for instructional faculty to be delivered in collaboration with Academic Affairs.
- Develops strategies and coordinates efforts to increase the number of CTE Early College students who earn a credential prior to completing high school and/or are prepared to seamlessly transition from high school to Kaua‘i CC (or other UH campus as applicable) for purposes of completion.
- Develops strategies to increase CTE Perkins performance indicators.
- Develops strategies and coordinates events to bridge and strengthen connections between Kaua‘i families, high schools, middle schools, and the college by serving as a promoter and liaison for college programs and Early College classes.

- Considerable working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of advising and outreach as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts, principles and methodologies.
- Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and theories and systems associated with education.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective, innovative and timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.

Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Social Work, Counseling and Guidance, Counseling Psychology, Psychology, Educational Counselor, CTE Education, Education (to include all degrees in this field), College Student Personnel Services, Human Resources, Workforce Development, Career Development, Marketing, Communications, or related field and three year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for community or institutional collaboration; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
