      Grandview Heights is seeking an innovative and tech-savvy Educational Technology Specialist to provide training, management, support, and implementation on district-adopted technology device and digital services. This position focuses on configuration, synchronization, and managing the applications in use by students, teachers, and district staff. A strong background in digital learning platforms and technical support are essential.

      Title: Educational Technology Specialist

      Reports to: Chief Technology Officer

      Employment Status: GHESSA, 260 days, 8hrs per day

      Qualifications:

      • High school diploma required or equivalent, Associates or Bachelor degree in related field preferred
      • Certifications or degree in a technology-related area
      • Expertise in troubleshooting, deploying, and managing Google and Apple Operating Systems and devices
      • Experience in supporting and training with educational technology
      • Acceptable BCI and FBI checks

      Essential Job Functions:

      1. Users, Accounts, Software and Data Support
        • Manages the OneRoster Synchronizations with 3rd party service providers
        • Collaborates on the user provisioning and de-provisioning processes
        • Supports assistive technologies for student services
        • Collaborates on the application approval process
        • Organizes, monitors, and coordinates our Student Data Privacy Agreements
        • Provides new student and staff orientations
        • Provides training to staff and students on software and hardware
      2. Tech Support Tasks
        • Frequently monitor the support channels, ticketing system, and our walk-up tech station
        • Promptly address support requests and troubleshoots system and network problems in a timely manner
        • Leads initial contact and investigation of staff and student support requests
        • Effectively troubleshoots problems with or without prior experience and works quickly to resolve issues
        • Researches and understands emerging technologies
        • Manages, monitors, and updates ticketing and asset inventory system
        • Assigns and distributes new and refreshed technology devices as requested
        • Efficient in all steps of system deployment including project planning, system management, and documentation
        • Supports the asset recycling and disposal process
      3. Professionalism and Judgment

        • Properly survey the technical demands of staff when problems occur
        • Changes delivery of technology language based on each staff member's level of understanding
        • Understands technology's impact on teaching and learning
        • Collaborates with all staff to improve their ability to efficiently use reliable technology

      Working Conditions:

      • Potential exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissue
      • Exposure to potentially dangerous and violent situations
      • Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather
      • Regular requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see and read
      • Regular requirement to lift equipment, up to 50 pounds
