- Collaborate with faculty to design, develop, and revise online courses using best practices in instructional design.
- Ensure courses meet accessibility standards and promote inclusive learning.
- Provide training and support to faculty on instructional design principles and online teaching technologies.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in instructional design and eLearning, integrating innovative tools and strategies.
- Work with academic departments to ensure course content aligns with program learning objectives.
- Expertise in instructional design, adult learning theories, and best practices for online education.
- Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital education technologies.
- Experience designing accessible and inclusive online courses.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage faculty and institutional partners.
- Ability to analyze learning outcomes and recommend improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree in instructional design, education, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in instructional design, particularly for online learning environments.
- Other Preferences: Experience working with diverse faculty and student populations.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging and effective online learning experiences.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide high-quality faculty support and training in a professional manner.
The eHBCU Instructional Designer will collaborate with faculty to design and develop high-quality online courses across consortium member institutions. This position ensures that courses are engaging, accessible, and aligned with best practices in instructional design. The role requires working with diverse teams to create inclusive learning environments and support faculty in integrating effective instructional strategies.
