Job Description

- A general understanding of what Elastic Stack is and a willingness to learn,
- Experience with containerization – Docker/ Kubernetes/ OpenShift,
- Strong experience with Linux (RHEL),
- Hands on experience in Python or Go (eventually other programming language),
- Experience with Agile/ Scrum,
- Readiness to work in an international team, with travel once in a couple months,
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Hands on experience in Elastic Stack,
- Experience with Kafka and Streaming, as well as with system monitoring,
- Knowledge of DevOps methods; in dealing with configuration management and continuous integration (Azure DevOps/ GIT),
- Knowledge of Prometheus / Ansible / Jenkins / Groovy / Job-DSL / Unix Shell / automated testing.

Your responsibilities:
Your toolbox is the ELK stack that we offer as a service (ELKaaS) towards INGs DevOps teams worldwide: you develop and support global, containerised solutions for log file monitoring and metrics analysis, record and recognize dependencies to other systems and processes, and your team can count on your IT knowledge and process understanding.
Our containerized ELKaaS offering runs on OpenShift 4 and all changes are done via our Azure DevOps pipeline. The ELKaaS service is gaining popularity and it is more and more being integrated into core systems of ING, meaning that soon standby shifts (occasionally) will be part of the job.

We are the Elastic Stack as a Service squad, which is the part of a larger
unit - ING Private Cloud. Every day we cooperate in an international team with our colleagues from Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and Germany.
