      Electrical Superintendent


      GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Dallas, TX, looking to add an Electrical Superintendent to their team. The role is a Full-Time position.

      Responsibilities:

      • Oversee the daily field execution of medium-voltage electrical systems (12kV–35kV), managing crews of 30+ electricians and subcontractors on complex industrial and data center projects.
      • Enforce strict safety protocols, lead pre-shift safety briefings, and ensure full compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E standards on-site.
      • Coordinate field operations with project management to support RFIs, change orders, and material procurement, while maintaining accurate logs in systems such as Procore and Accubid.
      • Supervise the installation and field validation of key electrical infrastructure including transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, cable trays, and terminations.
      • Lead 3-week lookahead planning for labor, materials, and tooling; adjust schedules based on field realities to maintain productivity and project milestones.
      • Interface with client field representatives and lead subcontractor coordination meetings to ensure seamless execution and rapid issue resolution.
      • Document field performance, including daily progress, safety observations, and crew efficiency, contributing to overall reporting and forecasting.
      • Mentor craft electricians and promote workforce development by identifying skill gaps and facilitating relevant on-the-job training or certifications.

      Qualifications:

      • Minimum 1 year of field leadership on data center projects or 3+ years in high-voltage (&Client;480V) electrical contracting in industrial sectors (e.g., solar, utility, semiconductor).
      • Prior experience with an Electrical Contractor (EC); GC backgrounds acceptable only with proven hands-on field execution.
      • Strong knowledge of MV systems and components, including transformers, switchgear, grounding, and commissioning prep.
      • Proficiency with RFI/change order tracking and scheduling tools such as Procore, Accubid, MS Project, or Primavera.
      • Ability to lead diverse field crews with clear communication, a strong safety mindset, and decisive problem-solving skills.
      • OSHA 30-hour certification and/or NFPA 70E training preferred; bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.
      • Valid driver's license and ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting, climbing, and exposure to outdoor elements.
