      Primary Responsibilities

      In the role of Electrical BIM Designer, we'll count on you to:

      • Create detailed electrical designs for facilities, including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security and fire detection in compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
      • Perform basic system calculations, drawing production, some master specification editing, and cost estimating assistance.
      • Perform assignments utilizing standard engineering techniques and procedures under the supervision of a licensed professional.
      • Follow all internal and major clients’ BIM and CAD standards.
      • Coordination with other departments and disciplines including Architectural, Mechanical, Structural and Civil to ensure that Electrical package matches and is integrated into the project drawing package.
      • Direct the efforts of less-experienced BIM and CAD Technicians as needed.
      • Perform other duties as needed.

      Required Qualifications

      • Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience.
      • A minimum of 2 years of experience with electrical and mechanical projects.
      • Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation and MS Office Suite Software knowledge.
      • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
