      What you will do:

      • Manager the Power electrical engineering team in balance of plant and electrical system maintenance and reliability issues, NERC compliance program and solar development support.

      • Manage the resolution of turbine electrical systems root cause analysis and reliability improvements.

      • Lead the development of power engineering electrical standards and guidelines on maintenance practices and solar facilities design etc.

      • Manage the Power Business compliance program with exposure to NERC / CIP market and various electricity system operators’ requirements.

      • Collaborate with Plant Managers, Turbine Vendors and Consultants to resolve complex technical issues.

      • Lead a team of talented engineers in areas of electrical system reliability, compliance, and project development engineering.

      • Responsible for development of team budget, initiatives and long range plans ensuring all contractual and liability requirements are met

      • Manage the technical due-diligence of utility scale or behind-the-meter solar facilities

      Who you are:

      • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Required specialization: Electrical)

      • 8 to 10 years progressive experience with designing and constructing renewable energy projects or management of renewable energy operations or equivalent combination of education and experience

      • Prior management experience preferred with Strong Electrical background to lead a team of engineers

      • Prior engineering or operating experience with Wind and Solar facilities strongly preferred

      • Experience with review and analysis of protection system design, its operation and coordination activities. Detailed understanding of turbine electrical and communications systems is strongly preferred

      • You will be familiar and have knowledge of Reliability Compliance framework in the United States and Canada. This includes, understanding of NERC framework, Regional Entities such as WECC, NPCC, TRE etc. and enforcement of market rules by ERCOT, PJM, AESO and IESO

      • Knowledge of construction practices with proven project execution experience. Including direct project management experience with large energy infrastructure and high voltage energy projects

      • Experience with Type 3 and Type 4 wind turbine generators including its controls, converters, and auxiliary electrical components such as switchgear and turbine transformer

      Working Conditions:

      • Office environment with up to 25% travel to field locations and industry conferences.

      • Travel will be required for training and other company business.

      • Environment is fast paced, and work based with competing deadlines to support aggressive operating reliability and cost goals.
