Contribute to the success of a cross functional team.
Determines material and equipment needs to ensure sufficient resources for project completion.
Develops or performs operational, maintenance, or testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, or systems.
Prepares, reviews or maintains maintenance schedules, design documentation, or operational reports.
Resolves day-to-day technical problems on the production lines to minimize disruption.
Troubleshoots electrical device problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.
Designs and evaluates electronics for use in other equipment and devices.
Some programming in C / C++/C# or LabView
Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)

OnsiteThe Collins Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering organization is looking for a motivated individual to be an Electrical Engineer to assist in developing complex engineering solutions. The Avionics Test Engineering organization is a global engineering organization responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the manufacturing test solutions in support of the $5B Avionics strategic business unit as well as external customers including armed services and airlines both domestic and international. Typical test solutions include Optical, In-circuit Test, Boundary Scan, as well as COTS components such as switch systems, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies and other related equipment coupled with custom software for performing Environmental Stress Screening as well as testing circuit card assemblies and top-level products.
The ideal candidate will have an unwavering positive attitude, be highly responsive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and strive to perform high-quality work proactively and efficiently. This person will consistently demonstrate professionalism in their interactions with all levels of the organization and will routinely go above and beyond expectations in performing their work. They will have the ability to work independently with a sense of urgency, while analyzing equipment and conducting experimental tests to establish operating data. This candidate will perform engineering duties including manufacturing planning and the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical apparatus to ensure that projects are completed on-time and as per the defined goals.
This role will allow the ideal candidate to mentor with experienced subject matter experts and develop an individualized growth plan to meet their career goals. It is a multi-faceted role requiring versatility across a variety of tasks in a highly collaborative environment to apply engineering knowledge and troubleshooting skills on an impactful team.
This is an on-site position based out of our Melbourne, FL site location; may be eligible for relocation.

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
