Initially the position requires the candidate assist in a production support capacity for a low-rate initial production design. Additionally, the candidate will be tasked to design and develop circuit card assemblies (CCA) and modules such as test adapters and fielded systems. The Electrical Engineer should be experienced in aspects of circuit card design from concept through delivery to higher level assemblies as evidenced by successful design completions (including hardware/firmware designs with microcontrollers or microprocessors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART). The candidate and team will be required to integrate aircraft AC and DC power, low voltage control signals, Ethernet, digital discrete input/output, and analog signals for the functional system.

The candidate shall utilize simulation tools such as LTSpice or PSpice to model electronics behavior. The candidate shall design analog circuits to meet a set of requirements. The candidate shall perform component selection and schematic capture in Altium Designer and Siemens Xpedition. The candidate shall guide Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of circuitry and technical drawing creation. The candidate shall utilize analysis tools such as Mathcad and/or Matlab to assess electrical design robustness of circuitry. The candidate shall perform design reviews, equipment integration, equipment characterization, and testing which will require a high degree of onsite presence at a minimum of three days locally, immediately.
