What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Participate in problem analysis, design, installation, and start-up phases of engineering projects
- Produce detailed designs and development assignments for various electrical systems
- Assist in developing solutions and alternatives to assigned engineering problems
- Maintain safety, security, and documentation throughout internship responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a respectful team environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- GPA of 3.0 cumulative or higher
- Completion of at least 1.5 years of college courses in engineering
- Must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Previous co-op/intern experience in engineering is a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with CAD software and engineering work systems
- Understanding of basic statistics and experience with computer usage in engineering contexts
- Knowledge of electrical equipment/systems/controls and design communications
- Field experience in manufacturing or research environments
