      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide technical expertise and support within the Engineering and Planning Department
      - Assist higher-graded technicians and engineers on diverse engineering projects
      - Review and ensure compliance of design drawings, shipboard systems diagrams, and technical documents
      - Evaluate contractor configuration management systems and procedures
      - Participate in shipboard testing and trials, both dockside and at-sea

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Must be a US Citizen
      - Must be determined suitable for federal employment
      - Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
      - Successful completion of a pre-appointment physical examination is required
      - Ability to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Familiarity with Electrical Equipment Systems and engineering principles
      - Previous internship or experience in electrical engineering or a related field
      - Understanding of contract drawings and Government Furnished Information (GFI)
      - Knowledge of testing procedures and technical documentation
      - Experience with configuration management systems
