- You will prepare electrical design drawings, calculations, and specifications to accompany design models generated on electrical engineering design software (e.g. AutoCAD).
- You will be responsible for designing the generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of electric power, and the electrical apparatus connected to such systems for low voltage and medium voltage as well as the necessary monitoring.
- You will review design (e.g., calculations, analyses, drawings, specifications) to ensure compliance with project objectives and standards.
- You will establish project roles and responsibilities of internal and external participants to facilitate project completion.
- You will develop plans and make written and oral presentations to various interested personnel on program status, technical problems, scheduling, and costs.
- Must be a US Citizen.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Designing and drafting electrical drawings and specifications for a wide variety of facility types; 2) Preparing statements of work for engineering construction projects; 3) Investigating electrical issues in various types of facilities and developing recommendations for corrective measures of those issues; 4) Providing electrical engineering consultation to a wide range of customers; and 5) Performing computer-aided drafting, calculations, and studies in support of design-bid-build and design-build construction document preparation.
