      Position Summary

      We’re looking for a hard-working individual who would like to join us in developing new product concepts, as well as engineering, manufacturing, and customer support. This Electrical Engineer position is a hands-on research and investigative role focusing on product design.

      This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager I

      What You’ll Be Doing

      • Work in a multi-discipline team environment.
      • Design analog and digital circuits for industrial automation sensors.
      • Evaluate electrical designs and sensor performance to ensure the products meet the intended requirements.
      • Design schematics and circuit boards for new and existing products.
      • Manage product documentation including bill of materials (BOMs), design verification reports, and engineering change orders (ECOs)
      • Provide work direction to Technicians as necessary.
      • Collaborate with optical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to provide globally competitive products.
      • Confer with Banner’s Purchasing department and outside vendors to qualify electronic parts.

      Required

      • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field

      Preferred

      • Analog / small signal electrical design
      • Use of microcontrollers
      • PCB layout experience
      • Knowledgeable in CE Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) test requirements, and able to perform preliminary testing
      • Data analysis and presentation skills utilizing spreadsheets and graphs
      • Experience with pulsed LED and Laser based measurement applications
      • Familiarity with software programming and optical engineering concepts
      • Demonstrated experience in embedded system design
      • Experience with electronic design tools (Schematic editor, SPICE, etc.)
      • Effective use of troubleshooting and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, custom test platforms, spectrum analyzer, etc.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a team environment

      Pay Range: $80,161 - $138,468
