      • Job Description Summary

      The Cubic Secure Communications Hardware Engineering group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of high-end analog and digital systems. Fundamental experience in Digital Circuit Design, Analog Circuit Design, Power System Design, Single Board Computer Design, Embedded System Design, Digital/MPEG Video, FPGA/CPLD Design, and interconnect implementations in TTL, CMOS, LVPECL, LVDS, 10+ Gbps SerDes, DDR2/3/4/5/SRAM/FLASH, PCIe-Gen2/3/4 is required. Proficiency with Altium Designer, HyperLynx SI/PI, LT Spice/HSPICE, Xilinx tools, and lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, VNAs, and Spectrum Analyzers is essential.

      • Job Description

      This position is for a Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Design Engineer. Responsibilities include designing multi-layer, high-speed CCAs with components like large FPGAs, microprocessors, DDR memory, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, and interfaces supporting audio, video, and GPS. Knowledge of switching and linear power supplies, high-speed signal integrity, PCB materials, fabrication, and assembly is required. Tools used include Altium Designer, Mentor HyperLynx, LT Spice, Xilinx Vivado, Matlab, CST, HFSS, among others. The engineer will support the development of circuit cards from design to prototype, testing, documentation, and manufacturing support.

      The role involves interpreting system requirements, designing, analyzing, testing, and documenting CCA designs, supporting prototype development, and collaborating with other engineering disciplines. Supervision and teamwork are essential.

      • Minimum Job Requirements

      Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 2-5 years of experience, or a Master's with 1 year of experience. Experience in hardware design, development, and testing, with strong communication skills. Must be a US citizen eligible for DoD security clearance.

      Cubic Pay Range

      $80,000.00 - $108,000.00 + benefits. The salary depends on responsibilities, education, experience, and other factors.
