      Leidos Dynetics Group is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer - System Design candidate to join a multidisciplinary team to create unique solutions to complex engineering challenges in our Huntsville, AL location. We have offices across the United States that provide responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific, and IT solutions in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial fields.       Primary Responsibilities:

      As an essential part of our dynamic team developing advanced electrical system designs. You will analyze, design and integrate solutions that will successfully address a wide variety of customer challenges.

      You will also test and troubleshoot hardware in both lab and field environments.

      You will primary be focused on design of High Energy Laser systems, but there are also opportunities to participate in design of electrical architectures and integrated systems for other mission-critical systems that include flight systems, sensors, ground vehicles, and space hardware.

      In addition, you will collaborate and communicate with project managers, customers, and team members to determine requirements. You will be a contributor to system hardware architecture decisions based on customer performance requirements, schedule, and cost constraints (including build vs. buy trades).

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering from an ABET accredited institution with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

      • Excellent communication skills and demonstrate capabilities in electrical system design including knowledge of embedded, controls and power system design.

      • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.

      • Proven experience in hardware design and test from architecture through implementation.

      • Proven understanding of fundamental circuits and circuit components.

      • Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

      • Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Electrical system architectural design including sensors, servos, motors, FPGA and power system considerations.

      • Systems engineering principles and methodologies.

      • Hardware/software/firmware interface design and documentation.

      • Participation in trade studies and development of white papers.

      • Requirements-based design and test planning.

      • DoD experience

      • Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university

      Pay Range:

      Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00

      The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
