      Throughout the 2-year program, you will move through two 1-year rotations where you will be tasked with significant and business-critical projects. Dedicated mentors and professional development workshops with our diverse network of talent and senior leaders will provide you a with a solid foundation for a successful career.

      During the final rotational assignment, participants will receive assistance applying for open positions at CommScope which meet their career goals.

      How You’ll Help Us Connect the World

      As an Electrical Engineering GRP in CommScope’s Intelligent Cellular Networks group, you will assist with the design, development, and support of RF circuits and systems used in mobile radio repeaters and distributed antenna systems (DAS). You will be part an of multi-functional team working closely with software, digital, RF, and mechanical engineers to take projects from concept to production by designing, simulating, prototyping, and testing electronic circuits and systems. This role will be based in Lynchburg, VA.

      This describes the first year of the rotation. The second year will be determined later based on company’s needs and candidate’s interests.

      You Will Make an Impact By

      • Simulating circuits using various E-CAD tools
      • Soldering and replacing electronic components
      • Creating and interpreting measurements with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.
      • Documenting the results of lab experiments and drawing conclusions
      • Assisting with the creation of design documentation needed for factory introduction.

      Required Qualifications for Consideration

      • 0-2 years of experience with a degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering
      • Coursework / concentration in digital circuit design, microprocessor design, wireless communications, or power electronics
      • Must be geographically mobile, locations vary based on businesses, and participant may be required to relocate for rotations (relocation assistance provided)
      • Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0
      • Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship

      You Will Excite Us If You Have

      • Experience with circuit simulation, schematic, and/or PCB layout tools
      • Hands-on experience with electronic hardware design & testing
      • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
      • Show innovation through unique ideas and propose them to the team
      • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and successfully meet deadlines
      • Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skills
      • Strong initiative; a self-starter with analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
      • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing priorities
