      Under supervision from Senior Engineer(s) and Engineering Manager(s), the Electrical Hardware Design Engineer is responsible for executing electrical hardware design activities for assigned product development projects. In this role, the Electrical Hardware Engineer may provide day to day technical project direction to Technicians, and MCAD & ECAD Designers. The Electrical Hardware Engineer may also participate in the definition, oversight and/or execution of product Design Verification, Manufacturing testing, and Design Qualification testing associated with assigned designs.

      Essential Responsibilities:

      • Specify and design: electrical components, subassemblies and assemblies used in the manufacture of electronic products.
      • Assist cross-functional project development teams in the specification, conceptualization, design and integration of components, custom fabricated parts and subassemblies realizing electronic products with top quality, low cost and on time delivery requirements.
      • Participate in the specification and/or design of test control apparatus and testing procedures for supporting product testing: Design Verification, Manufacturing and Agency Approval.
      • Ability to apply sound engineering principles, process engineering techniques, and LEAN principles to design administrative function.
      • Investigate product field failures and manufacturing yield and/or quality issues, determining root cause and probable solutions to remedy identified causes.
      • Write and manage Engineering Changes through the company VF ECN & Deviation processes.
      • Assist in Documentation Control ISO audits and implement audit recommendations.
