Job Description

- Minimum qualifications include a BC Certificate of Qualification (BC TQ), (Red Seal preferred), or a Certificate of Qualification with Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement (IP RSE) from another jurisdiction.
- A minimum of five years’ current industry experience as an Industrial or Construction Journeyperson.
- Also required is the knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with students.
- Preference will be given to those applicants with a demonstrated record of teaching successfully and two (2) or more years’ supervisory or administrative experience.

The Faculty of Trades and Technology at KPU isn't your average trade school. KPU is the place where thought meets action, so all our trades programs and courses integrate theory with practical hands-on training.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Faculty of Trades & Technology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University is currently seeking a Non-Regular (contract) Electrical instructor to provide short-term delivery of entry level and apprenticeship training, which may extend from a single day to several weeks.
More information concerning the working conditions for a faculty member are outlined in Article 12 of the Kwantlen Faculty Association (KFA) Collective Agreement

SALARY INFORMATION:
Placement on the salary scale will be dependent on level of education and relevant teaching experience. Advancement up the pay scale is based on FTE and employment status.
