Analyze internal and external customer returns with an emphasis on improving yields and driving test escape closure
Perform debugging to identify root causes and resolve all functional and triage failures for electrical issues
Develop and document electrical validation requirements and tests for verification of Si designs
Create, define and develop electrical validation environment and test suites.
Use and apply emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec
Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures.
Setup automated test environments for executing stability and regression testing
Investigate and resolve complex issues with hardware/BIOS/Firmware implementations and recommend solutions
Prepare validation specifications, evaluate IPs, and generate test reports
Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in bring up and validation of automotive or embedded HW products
Experience in HW electrical validation (EV) of HW products and customer designs (automotive compute modules, system function blocks in customer designs)
Pre-compliance measurements of high-speed interface parameters on USB, S-ATA, PCIe, SDIO, (LP/G)DDRx etc. interfaces
Environmental (e.g. thermal) validation and ESD and EMC pre-compliance/compliance testing
Experienced in high speed hardware design and layout methodologies
Good knowledge and skills in embedded systems and automotive interfaces like: USB, PCIe, S-ATA, I2C, I2S, UART, SPI, SDIO, CAN, Ethernet, HDMI, DP, MIPI, LVDS
Experienced in usage of latest measurement equipment (DSO, VNA, SA).
Proficient in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash)
Confident to work under different OS environments (Linux, Windows) as user and developer
Interest in high-end products and systems for automotive and transportation applications.
Ability to work well in a cross-site cross-team environment and partners.
Ability to work independently and successfully under tight project deadlines even in front of customers and suppliers.
Good communication skills are required, both written and verbal in English, preferably in German as well
Must have excellent ability to document and clearly present technical data using MS Office etc.
Must have very good knowledge of ECAD tools (Mentor, Cadence, PSpice etc.)
Work experience in modeling, simulating and analyzing signal integrity issues of high speed interfaces
Automotive system knowledge with a good understanding of OEM, TIER1 and end-user requirements is advantageous
Familiarity with developing under Yocto environment
Experience in Functional Safety and Security design
Soldering skills with fine pitch components are desirable
