- Must demonstrate use of "Wiggins Voltage Tester", 1000 volt crank megger, Simpson 260 and Fluke Multi meter, battery hydrometer (acid type).
- Demonstrateability to identify equipment problems generally and to notify any supervisor
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance system by performance inspections. Understand the importance of Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Demonstrate the ability to plan and carry out equipment repairs, including ability to align motor coupling using straight-edge, feeler gage and dial indicator.
- know location of all substations and know MCC general location and which substation feeds them
- Must know how to disconnect and reconnect electrical motors
- Must be able to connect and control circuit using two starts and two stops button
- Demonstrate the ability to trouble shoot and repair SCR motors and controls.
- Industrial Troubleshooting
- Installation of power distributions components, breakers, starters, motors, VFD's
- Must be able to read and understand blue prints
- Must be able to run conduit and wire
- Must be able to understand, read, and speak English

Industrial Electrician
Job Summary
The Electrician must be able to install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus control equipment and to cut, bend, thread and install electrical conduit using such tools as hacksaw, pipe threader and conduit benders. The Industrial Electrician will have to demonstrate the correct way to pull wire in conduit without damage to wire.
