      Martin Marietta is seeking an Electrician to join our growing Maintenance team! u00A0The primary function of the Electrician is to maintain, calibrate, perform trouble analysis, consult, research and develop process control instrumentation for the purpose of obtaining optimum efficiency of our mining operations. This role operates 100% of the time in both underground and surface mining facilities

      A typical day for an Electrician may include:
      • Coordinate all in-house electrical repairs and upgrades u00A0
      • Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls and drives u00A0
      • Actively research potential upgrades in automation and fine-tune existing plant to improve safety, efficiencies, plant capacities, consistency, availability and reporting u00A0
      • Work closely with engineering group to meet deadlines and complete capital projects u00A0
      • Other duties as assigned u00A0

      u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Have a 2-year technical degree in Electrical or comparable experience
      u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Are a certified/licensed Electrician
      u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Hold a Journeymanu2019s card (this is preferred but not required)
      u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Have experience with PLCu2019s (this is preferred but not required)
      u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Have worked in the aggregate or similar industry for at least 3 years
      u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Have strong attention to detail, a high sense of urgency as well as safety acumen
      u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Possess a valid driveru2019s license and the ability to operate a company vehicle

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
