      Job Overview:

      An Electrician at RWJBarnabas Health RWJBH, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the healthcare facility,

      This includes tasks like inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting electrical circuits, as well as performing preventative maintenance on various equipment,

      They also work on stationary equipment such as pumps and motors, and may be involved in installing and maintaining power and signal circuits,

      Qualifications:

      • A high school diploma or equivalent,
      • 3-5 years of experience as an electrician,
      • A New Jersey driver's license is required,
      • experience as an electrician in a hospital setting preferred
      • Experience in emergency power preferred

      Scheduling Requirements:

      • Full Tiem
      • Days
      • 40 hours

      Essential Fumctions:

      • Installation and Maintenance: Installing and maintaining electrical wiring, lighting, and power systems,
      • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions and defects, including replacing faulty components,
      • Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine checks and maintenance on electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance,
      • Safety Compliance: Ensuring all electrical work adheres to safety regulations and standards,
      • Equipment Knowledge: Having a working knowledge of various electrical equipment, such as generators, motors, and control systems,
      • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work,
      • Specific Tasks may include:
      • Inspecting and testing lighting, signal, and power circuits,
      • Installing conduit and wiring,
      • Troubleshooting and repairing issues with generators, pumps, and other equipment,
      • Performing preventative maintenance on electrical systems,
      • Working with schematic drawings and blueprints,
