Job Description

- * Installs, repairs and maintains all electrical systems, up to 600 volts and assists with medium voltage equipment (15,000 volts maximum-under supervision of management and Electrician I) controls, equipment and associated ancillary equipment using a variety of portable and stationary hand and power tools, instruments, gauges, etc., in accordance with electrical layouts, blueprints, schematics and codes.
- * Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains Medical Center electronic circuits.
- * Provides guidance and instruction to Electrician III and other personnel assigned to projects.
- * Maintains and repairs generators, including troubleshooting and repair of all emergency power systems.
- * Completes reports and surveys, verifies prints to insure compliance with all applicable codes and reports violations.
- * Recommends and/or prepares purchase requests.
- * Serves as member of the Fire Response Team.
- * Assist Contractors in shutdown of services and utility systems.
- Performs related duties, as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience as an Electrician, required using knowledge of ordinary electronic components and circuitry, and ability to comprehend blueprints.
- Knowledge New York City Electrical Code and other codes having jurisdiction.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
