Job Description

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, fixtures, and equipment.
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical components including transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and VA policies.
- Operate and maintain generators, emergency power systems, and energy-saving systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Complete work orders and documentation accurately and timely.
- Respond to emergency service requests, including after-hours if needed.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to obtain VA badge.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a commercial/industrial electrician.
- Valid California General Electrician Certification (per Title 8, CCR 290.1).
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Strong communication skills and professional conduct in a VA healthcare environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent and accurate written communication.
- Familiarity with Windows OS, online calendars, cloud systems, and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Attention to detail and accurate data entry.
- Customer-focused and team-oriented work ethic.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality.

Position Summary
Aldevra is seeking a skilled Electrician to support operations at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System. The Electrician will perform a wide range of electrical maintenance and repair duties for a large medical campus, including both patient care and administrative areas. This role requires a dependable professional who prioritizes safety, quality, and VA customer service. This position is contingent upon contract award.

This role involves work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other facility areas with exposure to electrical systems. Must follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, and VA safety protocols, including PPE and lockout/tagout. Physical activities include climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces. Passing an extensive background check is required.
