- Knowledge of electricity, wiring methods, and electrical maintenance
- Three years electrical work experience
- Ability to climb and work from ladders and scaffolds.
- Valid Mississippi motor vehicle operator’s license
- Must be insurable by district insurance carrier.
- Pass background test as outlined by district policy.
- Reads blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Troubleshoots and repairs complicated electrical and electronic equipment and wiring systems.
- Installs electrical conduit and wiring.
- Designs and installs electrical systems and equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Fabricates and installs various metal components such as fan guards, equipment containers, mounting brackets, panel covers, etc.
- Prepares estimates of time and materials for construction projects
- Keeps record of work and materials used.
- Exercises proper safety precautions during performance of daily job assignments
- Secures keys, materials, equipment, tools, and supplies carried on work vehicle.
- Works overtime as necessary for emergency work and special job assignments.
- Assists members of the department and members of other departments when needed.
- Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
- Willing to work on low and high voltage while live. All Applicants must apply online
