- Plan, organize, supervise and perform installation, service, repair and preventative maintenance of electrical circuits, devices, lighting, panels, switchgear and other electrical components.
- Document and communicate information regarding electrical systems and equipment to Director and all affected departments including installation, repair and preventative maintenance schedules, equipment breakdowns and safety concerns.
- Assist team members and contractors with service and installation on complex projects.
- Identify problems related to electrical systems and equipment. Coordinate and make repairs.
- Responds to and assists in all building, equipment, or systems emergency situations involving the Maintenance department. Other duties as assigned
- Combination of education and experience to equal 5 years as a licensed electrician.
- Possession of Minnesota Class A Journeyman’s license.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and other applicable building codes.
- Experience with low voltage wiring, HVAC&R, plumbing, building maintenance, and building automation systems.
- Valid Class D driver’s license may be required with a good driving record.
Job Overview: Manage, coordinate and perform the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment (i.e., switchgear, panels and electrical systems) according to the National Electrical Code and other pertinent codes. Perform BAS, controls, low voltage cable installation. Assist staff as directed with miscellaneous construction, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, building fire and life safety, security, automation, fire sprinkler and equipment maintenance. Assist with maintenance and repairs of wind turbine, bio-diesel, gas stations, car washes, greenhouse and garden equipment. Assist with maintaining rental homes, farm and storage properties. Ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems at all Community properties.
