Mustang Cat is urgently hiring an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Manufacturing team in Tomball, Texas. If you're a skilled generator electrician with a passion for precision, diagnostics, and engine control wiring, this role puts you at the center of building and supporting power systems used across Texas and beyond.
⚡ What You’ll Do as an Electrical Technician:
As an Electrical Technician, you'll wire and troubleshoot complex engine systems, generator enclosures, and custom control panels at our advanced manufacturing facility. Your work will directly support our mission of delivering high-quality industrial generator systems to customers across industries. Responsibilities include:
• Troubleshoot engine control wiring and electrical components
• Read and interpret blueprints and point-to-point wiring diagrams
• Wire alternators, starters, jacket water heaters, and safety/control systems
• Fabricate engine harnesses and install Class 1 Div 2 conduit
• Install lighting panels and solder wire/electrical connections
• Perform load bank testing across voltage levels
• Operate heavy equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts
• Perform other duties as required in a hands-on manufacturing environmentTop Benefits for Electrical Technicians:

• Must own proper tools for electrical/mechanical repair
• Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting engine controls and wiring
• Working knowledge of AC/DC circuits and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with generators, switchgear, and voltage testing
• Ability to generate detailed service reports
