      Nexus Family Healing is looking for an Electronic Health Records Analyst to join our fantastic Minnesota team!

      Our Electronic Health Records Analyst evaluates, designs, supports, maintains, and builds solutions within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Our team member will have a strong understanding of business processing needs involved in behavioral health, foster care and financial responsibilities tied to clinical operations, that will improve the productivity and efficiency of the business. We only require that our candidate resides in one of our operating states (MN, ND, IL, MD, OR).

      • Salary Range: $68,000-$80,000 a year!

      Position Summary:

      Our Electronic Health Records Analyst I evaluates, designs, supports, maintains, and builds solutions within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. This individual will have a strong understanding of business processing needs involved in behavioral health, foster care and financial responsibilities tied to clinical operations, that will improve the productivity and efficiency of the business. This Analyst will build electronic solutions and implements within the EHR. This role will closely interface with the clinical revenue cycle and technical staff during all project phases, including, unit testing, integration and user acceptance testing, implementation, and post implementation support.

      Primary responsibilities:

      Building, Maintenance, Analysis, and Support of Electronic Health Records Systems

      • Participates in and drives positive and/or innovative changes across the organization within clinical data documentation, data management, outcome reporting, and process automation within the EHR system.
      • Identifies and resolves system issues within all EHR applications and ancillary reporting environments.
      • Works closely with operational counterparts to ensure consistent business processing methods.
      • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to understand and implement requirements that impact and drive the analysis and design of quality clinical, fiscal and database integration.
      • Provides operational system support and resolves escalated issues; interacts with the Electronic Health Records team and the vendor on problem identification, resolution, issue tracking and improvements.
      • Coordinates with the EHR team to ensure integration and automation outcomes meet the organization’s desired goals and outcomes.
      • Participates in EHR committee meetings across Nexus sites to enhance the collaboration of system use across Nexus sites to adopt, enhance, and improve system utilization.
      • Creates forms for client and clinical records; works with sites and EHR staff to ensure that forms meet site and service documentation requirements and ultimately the business’s needs.

      EHR Security System Structure Implementation

      • Implements and maintains the organization’s EHR systems with all current operating day to day personnel needs, worker roles, supervisions, program utilizations and other macro-user related issues.
      • Documents, analyzes and coordinates system upgrades, changes and developments including software code implementations; gathers and adjusts requirements as needed.
      • Resolves issues related software modifications and enhancements including property debugging, testing functionality and upgrade implementations, prior system go-live.
      • Coordinates system vendor resolutions for the EHR systems in collaboration with Nexus Departmental leaders.
      • Implements system security measures to ensure compliance with organizational policy, HIPAA, state and federal regulations, and agency confidentiality and data privacy standards; looks for ways to mitigate risk within the system.

      Quality Standards, Best Practices and Regulatory Adherence

      • Represents Nexus on super user vendor teams to maintain quality of vendor relationships; determines system capabilities or needed enhancements and proactively collaborates with the vendor as needed.
      • Collaborates with the organization’s internal super users to ensure system conversions and fidelity with operating directives.
      • Cross collaborates with a variety of departments to coordinate languages and linkages that facilitate Electronic Health Records operating data collection, reporting and billing.
      • Participates in system audits and process reviews to ensure excellence.

      Required Education and Licensure:

      • AA degree in HMIS, Computer Science, or Healthcare-related field.
      • A minimum of one (1) year of EHR system and managing data experience.
      • In lieu of degree, the equivalent of two (2) years of combined related work and education will be considered.
      • Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements

      Preferred Education and Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree in HMIS, Computer Science, or Healthcare-related field required.
      • Two (2) years of EHR system and managing data experience
      • Experience in Netsmart products including myEvolv, OrderConnect, or myHealthPointe preferred
