- You will design and develop test equipment and test rigs to support the validation of new power electronics products, functions and features , PCB, subassemblies, application and system levels.
- You will participate in the design lifecycle activities such as design and requirements reviews.
- You will be planning and executing test plans with support from design engineering team.
- You will generate test methods and procedures, test reports and test specifications.
- You will test equipment planning, procurement and management.
- You will build and assemble prototypes including test instrumentation
- You will support technical root cause analysis and troubleshooting of issues found during testing.
- Knowledge of power electronic products and power semiconductor technologies.
- Strong hands-on testing and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to understand complex schematics and board layouts.
- Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes, power analysers, programmable power supplies, active loads, and other equipment used for power electronic product testing.
- Understand the practicalities of high-power devices, signal integrity, noise issues, grounding, electrostatic discharge handling and oscilloscope probing techniques.
- The role will require inter-site travel therefore a valid UK driving licence is required

As the Electronics Test Engineer you will be working within the cross-functional Advanced Engineering team developing JLR’s high-performance next generation power electronics systems. You will be part of a key role and have a unique opportunity to positively impact the specification, design, development and operation of the advanced engineering testing domain.
