POSITION SUMMARY:
Instructor will teach content-specific grammar, spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary, and composition. Guides students on content-specific conversation. Teach students about content-specific language literature, culture, and history.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creating engaging lesson plans; planning classroom activities to motivate students; preparing visual aids; grading homework and exams; coaching students individually or as a group.
Communicating with parents and other teachers about a student's progress; and other tasks as assigned.
Providing specific and timely feedback on academic efforts, behavior and work quality,
and maintaining a classroom that is designed and organized for maximal student learning.KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or higher required.
Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience preferred.Certification by the State of Georgia in Education T-4 to T-7 and content area specialization as required by the GaPSC.
Normal classroom/school setting.
Must be able to stand and walk approximately seven (7) to seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. Light duty - On most occasions sitting at a desk or table; intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. Light lifting or carrying; twenty (20) lbs. or less.
