      Position: ELK Stack Admin with Dynatrace

      Location: DEERFIELD, IL (Remote till the current situation is better due to COVID)

      Duration: Long Term Contract

      Job Description :

      • Experienced in Dynatrace OneAgent for application performance analysis
      • Create and maintain specific Dynatrace OneAgent dashboards or views for application performance testers
      • Lead development, support implementation, and tune processes for using Dynatrace OneAgent to analyze application performance testing in the Agency’s Cloud Infrastructure, including Amazon Web Service and the agency’s on-premise cloud environment
      • Provide documentation on Dynatrace OneAgent’s use for application performance testing.
      • Create dashboards, custom views, metrics, and alerts in the Dynatrace Dashboard Tool
      • Monitor production applications for performance, assist in troubleshooting of application performance issues, and produce ad hoc reports
      • Customize and configure Dyantrace OneAgent for application performance testing needs.
      • Provide guidance, informal training and recommendations regarding use of the Dynatrace OneAgent tool for application performance analysis
      • Participate in the continuous improvement process
      • Provide documentation detailing results of analysis, monitoring, and recommendations
      • Analyze application and services performance and incorporate into the agency’s performance testing
      • Analyze application performance in production applications
      • Support additional Dynatrace tools as required
      • Bachelors Degree in Science and 7 years of relevant work experience; Masters Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or a minimum 9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
      • Experienced in cloud application performance testing and analysis,
      • Experience in designing and implementing sophisticated data visualization strategies
      • Experience using appropriate dash-boarding technology such as CA APM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics or New Relic
      • Experience in performing application performance analysis using Dynatrace OneAgent
      • Experience in creating documentation of Dynatrace Server anad OneAgent installation and configuration for applications
      • Experience and ability to work without technical oversight and to lead and coordinate a team of technical engineers and specialists
      • Ability to define complex problems and analyze and develop plans and requirements in the subject matter area related to this effort.Ø Install Configure and Coding in filebeat yml changes to format the data that is ingestedØ
      • Install Configure other types of beats heartbeat auditbeat metricbeat winlogbeat etc
      • Install Configure and Code using Logstash filters primarily grok dissect ruby mutate date jdbc filters
      • Conditional clause exception handling in Logstash code for parsing the ingested data
      • Setup Logstash endpoint URLs HTTP TCP to invoke on real time basis from other platforms
      • Kibana Creating alerts reports dashboards
      • Kibana Aggregating data that is ingested perform elastic search queries from devtools option
      • Familiar write Ansible automation scripts
      • Ability to work on a wide range of/highly specialized/cutting edge technology (ies) such as enterprise solutions, system integration, technical architecture, business intelligence, infrastructure, technology research, new technology development, etc.
      • Accountable for analysis, design, development, implementations, and upgrades of infrastructure, software, and technology solutions.
      • As an ELK Administrator, you will function as an infrastructure engineer for the build and support of the ELK environment.
      • This involves designing system solutions, implementing new features, resolving complex incidents and problems, responding to infrastructure monitoring and alerts, and consultation with application support and development staff.
      • Proficient in the management of threshold groups
      • EMC Smarts/Ionix monitoring tool administration.
      • Configuring monitoring for all the servers and network devices
      • Upgrade SMARTS and also perform DR failover tasks
      • Develop and support of the EMC SMARTS monitoring platform
      • Develop PERL Script using SMARTS API interface
      • Maintain current EMC SMARTS installation and SMARTS user interface
      • Perform product updates, upgrades and apply patches to the application and the underlying platform
      • Work with different service owners to logically group individual data points into actionable categories
      • Proactively identify gaps within the monitoring solution and remediating those gaps
      • Work with service owners to filter irrelevant data and alerts
      • Design and implement data and systems integrations with SMARTS
      • Configure monitoring for Windows servers using Windows WMI and WinRM protocols
      • Utilize network performance tools detect network performance problems.
      • Make changes/update to SMARTS to reflect the current state of the enterprise IT infrastructure
      • Create, integrate, validate, evaluate, and test new or existing JAVA, PHP, and CSS scripts for the HP Smarts network management and monitoring product.
      • Work with networking and routing protocols such as TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc., Network Management tools, such as Cisco Prime, and event message formats, such as SNMPv3 Traps, SYSLOG, and Log-Files.
      • Become knowledgeable on the HIPAA policies and procedures for the program and ensure awareness of HIPAA breach process. Understand your role in HIPAA compliance and be able to execute that role in an effective manner.
      • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently without escalations in a high-pressure
