- Create useful, highly targeted email programs
- Test, analyze, and optimize email campaigns to increase open rates, click throughs, and member engagement; perform A/B testing and other techniques
- Stay current on email strategies and best practices, implementing them as appropriate
- Deliver and explain email analytics reports to NAR teams and stakeholders, providing recommendations to optimize campaigns and messaging
- Conduct trend analysis for email campaigns by category and provide actionable insights to NAR teams (internal clients)
- Create and implement marketing automation programs
- Manage the NAR CRM and ensure it meets the team’s needs
- Manage external data vendors and ensure they meet the team’s needs
- List management: facilitate unsubscribes and related list updates, ensure lists are correct; pull and create new lists as appropriate; train others; request list pulls from list vendor and/or internal Data Science team
- Coordinate data requests and field requirements from the business side, working with Marketing and Data Science teams
- Build email content, including ads, from editor submissions
- Manage the work of email production specialists to produce quality emails
- Troubleshoot problems and coordinate with all editors and stakeholders
- Create and manage a master email calendar
- Manage relationship with email vendor, including budgeting, invoices, and chargebacks
- Manage all email system updates, upgrades and issues; communicate to NAR user groups of system updates, enhancements, issues
- Manage relationship with data vendor, including budgeting, invoices, and chargebacks
- Other duties, as assigned
- Minimum 5 years’ experience required
- Knowledge of ESPs, specifically iterable - advanced
- Marketing automation experience - advanced
- Knowledge of email deliverability and troubleshooting - advanced
- Analytics - intermediate
- CRM and List management - advanced
- HTML/CSS - intermediate
- Results oriented with high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
- Ability to think in innovative ways to find solutions to problems
- High level of proficiency in modern office software and communications platforms
- Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
- Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills with a high level of response to all inquiries
This position can be located in our Chicago or Washington D.C. office.
Position Summary:The Email Marketing Analyst is responsible for ensuring the production of all emails coming out of the MarCom group at NAR and provides email campaign analysis/insights to various NAR teams and stakeholders. Candidate must be experienced in email strategy, deliverability, and marketing automation. The role also acts as the internal business-side liaison for NAR’s CRM, coordinating and performing list pulls and field requirements. The position works on the Digital Strategy team, reporting to the Director of Digital Customer Experience.
