  THE PROGRAM

  We're looking for students to join our Internship Program who are obsessively curious about 'what's next'. You'll get hands on experience with our products and learn from the best of the best in the business. You will complete a specific project in 10-12 weeks with us, while integrating into your team. By the time you end your time with us, you will have been given the opportunity to truly make a real impact in the future of Bose and your career!

  Opportunities don't stop at your day-to-day work. While you're getting a targeted look at your area of expertise, we'll expose you to other areas of the company. Our interns are given the opportunity to connect with senior leadership across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll network with other interns and colleagues to grow your network for the future!

  Timeframe - June-August 2024

  THE ROLE

  Do you want the opportunity to work on projects that integrate Bose's amazing audio technology into cars? This embedded software engineer internship will expose you to real-time embedded systems and audio algorithms on hardware platforms used in automotive systems today. Our team coordinates with various organizations within Bose's automotive division to get our features working on different hardware platforms while also optimizing them for various processor architectures. This means that the team gets to work on everything from audio algorithms to operating systems.

  In this role, you will be working on a small team of passionate engineers with decades of combined experience in digital signal processor architecture and embedded systems. You will get the chance to support on-going projects for our customers as well improve our widely used internal tools that aid developers in building and testing audio algorithms for various hardware architectures. Our on-going projects include supporting a new hardware DSP platform, improving our code optimization for signal processing functions, and developing detailed memory profiling tools.

  Requirements:

  Knowledge of embedded systems and computer architecture
  Python development
  C/C++ programming

  
  Experience or coursework in the following is preferred, but not required:

  MATLAB/Simulink
  Experience with ARM or DSP processor architectures
  Makefiles, or similar make systems
  Git/SVN
  Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
