      EMDO Prototype Manufacturing/Process Engineer

      In this position...

      EMDO Prototype Manufacturing/Process Engineer is responsible for the development of complete process of manufacturing assigned component. From billet or casting to finish product ready for assembly.

      Qualifications

      You'll have...

      Qualifications:

      • Minimum Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.)
      • 5-7 years machining background
        • Deep understanding of machining concepts
      • Blueprint reading and interpretation
      • Familiar with Ford IT Systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, Web-Ex, Team Center, etc.)

      Responsibilities

      What you'll do...

      Job Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Process sheets and illustrations
      • Tooling and purchasing of tooling
      • All quality inspections required throughout machining process
      • Daily review of any deviations found with machining process
      • E-Warrant submission of parts ready for assembly
      • Collaboration with UAW workforce for processes and modifications to processes
      • Team approach for all parts within the EMDO Machining Process
      • Constant communication with PD Engineers as well as PTME Engineers
      • Knowledge and willingness to implement MLP when possible and deep understanding of MLP Principles
      • Highlight any manufacturing concerns and ability to communicate solutions to workforce and Upper Management
