- Coordinating and executing compliance activities including, but not limited to developing and maintaining Hazard Communication documents in local language, developing and maintaining product label text, collecting and maintaining Raw Material information and ensuring that management systems and documentation related to Raw Materials remains up-to-date, Dangerous Goods and transportation classifications, local government reporting, product registrations/permits/licenses, etc.
- Leading the regulatory compliance and Life Cycle management requirements for New Product Introductions by the Healthcare Business Group (HCBG), communicating progress and results to cross-functional business teams and documenting in appropriate management systems.
- Assuring on-going compliance for all existing HCBG products manufactured, outsourced, sold or imported and documenting compliance in appropriate management systems.
- Supporting the execution of hardgoods requirements, to ensure product safety and global compliance for Spin-Co hardgoods and electronics products.
- Handling local customer requests regarding Product Stewardship with support from the business group teams as needed.
- Assisting the International Product Stewardship team in streamlining global product stewardship processes and leveraging global best practices.
- Helping monitor international emerging regulations and trends and interpreting their impacts on current 3M products. Will develop knowledge and understanding of international regulatory external activities/regulatory initiatives and legal actions. May engage in advocacy processes.
- Establish a yearly Country PS Plan for the country company and complete 3M Product Stewardship requirements, in line with corporate guidelines;
- Coordinate 3M Product Stewardship in line with corporate expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution
- Experience of combined regulatory affairs or product stewardship
- Master’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline
- Regulatory affairs, scientific affairs or business experience with Global Regulations
- Ability to work effectively in cross functional, global teams

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The EMEA Area Product Stewardship Specialist (m/f/*) will be responsible for leading and maintaining local compliance to product stewardship expectations including product-focused environmental, health, and safety regulations in EMEA. The individual selected for this role is expected to be well versed in product stewardship with demonstrated expertise in product and market expectations and must possess the ability to document and clearly communicate information with internal stakeholders, customers, and local regulators. The ideal candidate will contribute technical expertise to the area of Product Stewardship in support of Health Care Business Group (Spin-Co)’s commercial products portfolio, (which includes medical devices, device components, drugs, articles, and hardgoods including products used in separation and purification of biopharmaceutical agents, drinking water, and food).
